Hi there! We’re three sisters who started Stripes of a Zebra after growing up with a mom who lives with chronic illness. Over the years, we’ve learned what it’s like to be the kids in the background—quietly strong, often overlooked, but always walking beside someone rare. We built this space to support other kids like us, because we know how much it helps to feel seen and understood.

We created Stripes of a Zebra for kids like us—kids who walk beside someone rare. In the medical world, people with chronic or rare conditions are called “zebras.” If they’re the zebra, we’re the stripes. Each stripe is different. Each one tells a story. And every single one matters.
